ABSTRAK
Stimulasi listrik memiliki efek antibakteri pada infeksi kulit. Arus listrik searah (DC) adalah arus listrik yang mengalir dan memiliki arah yang sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar arus listrik searah dan lama waktu paparan yang optimal untuk pengendalian bakteri P. aeruginosa dan S. aureus. Tegangan listrik yang digunakan adalah 5 V, dengan variasi kuat arus 1, 2, dan 3 A serta lamanya waktu paparan 10, 20, dan 30 menit pada medium NA. Pengujian anti bakteri ini menggunakan metode Kirby-Bauer dan stainless steel digunakan sebagai penghantar stimulasi arus listrik. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa arus listrik searah (DC) sebesar 1 A dengan lama waktu paparan 10 menit sudah memberikan efek antibakteri. Meningkatnya arus listrik tidak memberikan peningkatan efek penghambatan pada pertumbuhan bakteri. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa arus listrik searah yang optimal dan lama waktu paparan untuk menghambat P. aeruginosa dan S. aureus adalah 2A dan 30 menit.

ABSTRACT
Electrical stimulation has an antibacterial effects for infection of the skin. Direct current (DC) is unidirectional flow of electrical current. This study aimed at determining electrical direct current and duration of exposure for controlling of P. aeruginosa and S. aureus bacteria. The voltage applied at 5 V, with variation of electrical current of 1, 2, and 3 A with duration of exposure for 10, 20, and 30 minutes at NA medium. This antibacterial study used Kirby-Bauer method and a stainless steel wires were used as electrical current stimulation conductor. The results of this study indicated that the direct current (DC) of 1 A with the duration of exposure of 10 minutes has sufficient anti-bacterial effects. Increasing of electrical current did not give an increasing of inhibition effect of bacterial growth. As the conclusion of this study was that the optimal electrical direct current and duration of exposure to inhibit P. aeruginosa and S. auerus was 2A and 30 minutes.
